Westfield Veterinary Group is proud to announce that both our locations – Westfield, NJ and Union, NJ – have been reaccredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). This is our 15th year of accreditation. Only 15% of veterinary hospitals in North America achieve accreditation in any given year, and our continued accomplishment is due entirely to the hard work and dedication of the entire WVG team.
What Is AAHA Accreditation?
AAHA is an organization comprised of veterinary experts who regularly evaluate veterinary practices and hospitals on over 900 standards. These standards cover all aspects of veterinary practice, including staff, equipment, facilities, and medical procedures, in order to promote excellence in client care, work environment, and medicine.
This means everything in an accredited hospital – from how medical records are kept to the job satisfaction of the staff to the flow of the facilities to how surgical procedures are performed – meets the very highest standards of veterinary medicine. Every member of the WVG team worked tirelessly to achieve this accreditation and continues to put in the hard work every day to make sure that WVG continues to meet the high standards set by the AAHA.
What Does AAHA Accreditation Mean for Pet Parents?
AAHA evaluation is voluntary and rigorous, and it does not guarantee accreditation. So why do we do it? Because it makes a difference. It holds us accountable, it helps us to achieve the highest standards, and it means that you, as a pet parent, can rest assured that when you bring your beloved pet to us, they are receiving the very best of compassionate care backed by the highest-quality veterinary medicine.
We know you have plenty of options for veterinary care, and we strive to continually be the best we can be, improving on every aspect of our practice. We appreciate all of our patients and their families. Look for the AAHA-Accredited logo the next time you visit. We look forward to seeing you!
