Sherry Podhayny, VMD
Dr. Podhayny received her veterinary medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2000. A general practitioner at heart, Dr. Podhayny enjoys the diverse range of veterinary medical and surgical needs of companion animals. Her true passion lies in clinical practice where she enjoys building relationships with pet owners to provide compassionate medical care through all life stages of their beloved companion animals. As an undergraduate at Muhlenberg College, she attained her degree in Biology and went on to pursue a M.S. in Microbiology and Molecular genetics from Rutgers, The State University of NJ. The merging of her academic and clinical practice interests lead her to serve as a Senior Veterinarian for Pfizer Animal Health where she provided medical and scientific training to veterinary hospitals in the region to enhance patient care. Ultimately, this experience brought her to join the Westfield Veterinary Group Team.
Having spent the majority of her life in the Northeast, Dr. Podhayny enjoys all that the region has to offer, especially outdoor activities like walking and skiing. When not at the hospital, spending time with family and friends is the highlight of her life.
