Dani Abrahams, VMD

Dani Abrahams, DVMDr. Dani Abrahams grew up in Morris County in a home filled with dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, and freshwater fish. She realized she wanted to pursue veterinary medicine when she was seven years old.

Dr. Abrahams attended the General Honors Program at Rutgers University and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 1999. She continued her veterinary education at University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris in 2007. Following veterinary school, Dr. Abrahams completed a general rotating internship in medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York City, as well as two surgical internships (Long Island Veterinary Specialists in Plainview, Long Island; Veterinary Emergency Clinic and Referral Centre in Toronto, Ontario) and a year in general practice. Dr. Abrahams spent two years as an Emergency Veterinarian prior to joining our practice in the fall of 2013.

In her spare time, Dr. Abrahams enjoys playing ice hockey, hiking, camping, canoeing/kayaking, and reading. Sadly, she recently lost her dog, Kasha, to heart failure. Until she takes in a new member of her family, she lives vicariously through everyone else’s pets, including yours.
